Kaplan wants them to leave with him to get away from the Fleet but Lilli demands that they stay with the Captain who is a family friend rather than go off with a stranger they barely know. They reconnect with Asa Kaplan and learn some things about their parents that help explain why they are in their current situation. The kids find themselves on the moon that is in dispute and in danger from both the alien groups and from the Fleet which is trying to destroy Lennard's ship. The Fleet has sent Lennard's ship their with a bunch of diplomats to try to settle the situation down. The Storrians hired the Werikosi to terraform and moon and now the Werikosi don't want to leave. The kids find themselves in the middle of a war. Between his amnesia and confusion about his ability to phase, he is one confused young man. ![]() Lilli is hiding and sending duplicates all over the ship. ![]() Parker has found some friends and is deep in trying to hack the computer chip that will tell him the location of his mysterious guardian Asa Kaplan. ![]() Both Lilli and Chase have unusual powers that Fleet would like to experiment on and exploit. This isn't a very secure spot because the Fleet is after them. In this sequel to THE LOST PLANET, Chase, Parker and his sister Lilli have taken refuge on a Fleet ship captained by family friend Captain Lennard. ![]()

![]() ![]() And during these meetings our main characters are forced to undergo substantial character growth. ![]() Along with a deeper glimpse inside the magic world, I was also introduced to several new characters-including a few new enemies, one of which was vaguely introduced in the first book. There’s far more action and tons more use of magic as our main characters grow into their powers and learning the full extent of their abilities. ![]() So, for starters, this book was even better than its predecessor The Maiden Ship. But the only downside to it is having to keep my review super vague and not being able to gush over everything that I loved about this book! Because this book deserves all the love and endless gushing, but I suppose I can do that when it’s out in February. Being an ARC reader definitely has its perks.
